Coronavirus 19 has put the world on pause for a hot minute. We are living through history. History that will be in our children’s high school textbooks.
I hope the world being put on pause is enough of an eye opener to take care of your body. To move your body. To love your body. To nourish your body in every way possible. I hope the world being put on pause gives you the realization that health should always be our number one priority to ourselves and others. I hope that the world being put one pause has you realize that we all are equal. We all live and breathe the same air. We all need the exact same things to thrive in life and no one is superior to you, me or your dog. I hope the world being put on pause allows you to realize some of the greed in humanity with the empty grocery shelves and full cupboards in one persons home. I hope that right there is an eye opener and encourages you to look at the people who have their arms wide open (figuratively speaking, haha) for those truly in need. I hope this inspires you to give back during this time and all the time ahead in your life. I know it has for me.
I hope the world being put on pause allows you to find comfort in Mother Nature’s way in telling us to slow down and press pause on our own lives. It’s time to learn how to be with ourselves and only ourselves. These days it seems that it’s “cool” to be busy and the busier you are the more “successful” you are—no. No, no, no, and no again. It all starts with you and if you can’t be alone for more than a few hours without going wild then there may be a missing puzzle piece somewhere within you hindering your ultimate capabilities in life. We don’t allow ourselves to be with ourselves and we go crazy without any human interaction for lengthy amount of time. So this is time to learn this lesson.
Find a new perspective with the world being put on pause and find grace and glory in this time in our lives. This is a time for you to enjoy the fruition of spring. Enjoy the sun, the blue skies, the birds singing & the flowers blooming. This is a time for you to enjoy the simple hobbies you neglect or find new ones you didn’t even know of. This is a time for you to be with you and learn about y-o-u. Take advantage of this opportunity and find the light in the situation because this is (hopefully) a once in a life time moment that the world will ever be put on pause. Yes, I see the seriousness and sadness in the situation but I also see what Mother Nature is doing and I’m all for it.
Lastly, I hope the world being out on pause allows you to realize that when down to the root of things… nature is life’s greatest medicine and it truly has everything we need to survive. Go for that big hike you never had “time” for, go for a walk while basking in the sun, think and listen to your thoughts, do some yoga in the forest, go for a run or just sit quietly on a bench. Nature is where it’s at, baby.
Perspective is truly everything and can take you on a sunny ride of life or a stormy one.
