Are you in your twenties and confused as ever what to do with your life? Pleeeeeease do not worry. You are not alone. I can promise you there are so, so, so, so, so, so, many others out there in the same boat. I have stressed about this so much before. I think to myself… “I don’t want work at a restaurant my whole life (great money but not a lifelong career option for this girl)” or “my brothers are either in law school or starting their own business and I have no idea how to even begin looking for a career option.
Having my brothers to look up to has really opened my eyes and made me realize I do not want to work for anyone but myself. How incredible would it be to run your own successful business! Being a humble, successful business woman is my career goal. To pitch a business idea, with all the confidence in the world, to people twice my age would be absolutely unreal. I have realized I want to create a life that other young or even older determined individuals look up to and be motivated by. There is a whole world out there full of possibilities and (apparently) if you step out of your comfort zone and do things you’re afraid of…you will run into amazing experiences and opportunities. I say “apparently” because I, myself, am working on the whole comfort zone aspect of it.
I have literally googled “how to find out what to do with my life”… and I know I’m not the only one who has done that! With all the research and thought processes I have gone through, I have come up with a little exercise that may help you with what direction you’d like to go in or even possibly guide you to something new to try. You never know! Trying new things could open up so many doors.
So, I recommend you brew some yummy tea, go into a quiet relaxing room, get a piece of paper and take time for yourself to really think. Follow the above image I have created for you and see what ideas you discover. You may even learn something new about yourself! I truly hope it helps.
P.S. The number of times I say “success” throughout my blogs posts I want to make it very clear that the word “success” definitely doesn’t just regard how much money you make. Success truly means being happy with your life. Whether it be family, friends, events, cozy movies nights, bonfires, loved ones, food, gatherings, hobbies, peanut butter, travels, new experiences. So much more to life than money…. but it is always a nice little perk 😉
I would absolutely love to hear if this helped you in anyway at all and what you may have discovered for yourself. Please let me know. xx
